About Me

This blog comprises my passion for Machine Learning (ML) and the rare achievements from struggles in incorporating it into the Sciences and the Arts. It is additionally a source of motivation for me to keep up to date with the latest technologies and breakthroughs in the fast-paced landscape of ML and AI.

My background is a Master’s in Computer Science with a focus in ML from Washington University, St Louis. Currently, I am a Senior Researcher and Lead ML Engineer at InContext Solutions Inc. where I explore the applications of ML (Supervised/Unsupervised + Reinforcement Learning) and Computer Vision (2D/3D) in Retail Space. Please feel free to connect with me on my LinkedIn.

I come from a small country called Nepal, which lies in the lap of the Himalayas. Though Nepal is considered a third-world country, I was raised in a fairly well-off family, which allowed me to pursue education with great zeal, and for which I am very grateful. Less than 30% of the Nepalese population gets to say that as of today (2023), and I want to change that.

Aside from spending time in front of a computer, I deeply enjoy cuisines, especially Nepalese, exploring my current city i.e. Chicago, and traveling with my beautiful wife. I am fascinated by the arts, architecture, mathematics, and philosophies of Nepal, and the East in general (Hinduism, Buddhism, and Tao) that peaked around 200-1300 AD during the medieval ages of the West. My other hobby includes Oil Painting, in which I enjoy struggling my best to fail at it..
